Maine - "The way life should be."

Wiscasset eateries and shops have a charm very unique to this part of Maine. There is a common thread of modern tastes with the romantic feel of Maine's historic richness. Summer in Maine is life on earth at it's best.

Food

Treats - Offers a wide variety of baked goods, prepared foods, organic wines and tasty sweets. A must for your morning coffee and muffin too. www.treatsofmaine.com

Reds - Voted Maine's #1 Lobster Roll for many years. You'll often see many people waiting in line for an hour to taste the famous legend.

Sarah's Cafe - Good wholesome food that claims "The first ingredient is love" in every dish. It's true! Beautiful views of the bay and outside seating. Don't miss our favorite: BBQ Chicken Pizza. www.sarahscafe.com

Montsweag Roadhouse - Restaurant & Bar with the slogan, "Great Food & Good Times." This local joint is full of character with a rustic interior and "foodie" style food. Those visiting from New York and Boston will not be disappointed. Regular live music and a full bar make for the liveliest place in town. There is a mixture of locals and tourists here so most likely you'll fit right in.

Le Garage - Fine dinning on the water with an impressive menu and traditional French crepes. The wine selection's impressive variety goes well with the many fish or steak entries. Don't miss the impressive brunch. www.legaragerestaurant.com

M Thai - The locals know that if you want delicious curries and Thai Iced Tea, than M Thai is the place. A favorite when craving fresh food from the Far East. Quiet and no waiting for a seat. Both brown and white rice served.

Spraque's Lobster - Dockside lobster rolls and grill style food that will put you right on the water with a great music and no waiting in line. Perfect for lunch sunning on the dock with a big scoop of your favorite flavor of Gilford's homemade ice cream.
